Yikes, a divided duo! Who can blame them though, after the first game of this tourney? Well, you know who I think should win, you know who they do, all that is left to do is to watch what the two squads do. Here is the play by play of the first half:
Well, the 2005 team is leading, but four points aren’t that much, are they? I have no doubt that the 1982 can easily retake the lead in this game and take the win home for their coach Dean Smith.
And that is it, the `05 team takes this one, and takes it pretty easily. I have to say that I am pretty surprised that no one on the old school team was not able to take charge and make a run at the `05 squad. Well, below is the box score for you to see what could have been the difference between the two teams from over two decades apart.
Second game of the TOC and second shocker (at least to me). Maybe I could go along with the 2005 team winning the game due to the 3 point shooting difference. I guess where I am having a hard time with is that no one on that 1982 team, which was full of real time leaders, could not must a couple of stops and try to cut (or even take) the lead from the `05 squad. Well, no matter what I think, the game is over and now both HC Dean Smith and HC Roy Williams are 1-1 in the tournament. See you tomorrow with the match up of `00-`01 vs `94-`95.
