The Story behind the Story…

Inside sources have told The Fifth Corner (yeah right, no one ever tells me anything!) that head coach Roy Williams has asked for help from another ex head coach. But, unlike some posters on Carolina web boards have thought the help isn’t coming from Dean Smith or Bill Guthridge or anyone else from the Carolina tree, but from another popular coach. Ok, kidding aside, yesterday I did a satirical look on how John Wall got to Kentucky, and just to show I can laugh at anything, this time it’s a look on how to make UNC play better defense (as so many fans are asking for that). Hope you enjoy it…

So they tell me that you could have a player that could help me on defense coach.
Yes sir, I surely do, here is some footage of him playing tough D…

That’s impressive but I am not sure if we can do this in college basketball.
Well didn’t that guard from Duke…
~starts to turn white~ Wh.. what.. what did you say?
~worried look~ You sick coach? Vertigo?
No.. no.. you mentioned that name, that horrible, horrible name. You know that in this office we don’t use the letter “k”, I make the secretaries type J+1 instead!
~thinking a second~ oh sorry coach, I meant to say that irrelevant team eight miles down the road where their point guard went to play football at Syracuse
~starts to turn white again~ Wh.. what.. what did you say?
~even more worried~ What’s going on now coach Williams?
Haven’t eaten any cytrus since we lost to that squad at MSG, stop mentioning those names!
Sorry coach, I meant to say that irrelevant school eight miles from here to had their point guard go play football to that other squad that does not spend any money on travel since they never leave the state.
Ok, now I understand you without feeling sick. Something to think about for sure.
Well, let me know and I will leave you with a joke. Do you know why all SU fans are also fans of the show “Lost”?
No, I don’t coach.
Because that is how Greg Paulus looked on the football field, lost!
