Tate might be back on the field soon

Unfortunately with the problems that have happened in my family (if you want to read about them check out this url, be warned it’s pretty long) I have not been able to keep up with the weekly post called “Heels in the League” (NFL). I am hoping for good news in the next few days and being able to get back to somewhat a normal pace set, but for now let me give you a small update about one of the ex Tar Heels now in the National Football League, Brandon Tate. The senior wide receiver, who was a third round pick by the Patriots, has been off the field for about a year now due to an injury substained against Notre Dame last October. Now, from what I read in this article from projo.com, having started the season on the reserve/non-football injury list the club will now have three weeks to either place Tate on the season-ending injured reserve or to integrate him on the 53 man roster. With New England getting thinner and thinner at the wide out and returner (where he owns the NCAA record for total return yardage at 3,523) position, Tate might just see action sooner than later.

I will certainly keep following this story and if there is more on Tate I will post it here on The Fifth Corner. For now, as I do with all the Heels, let me wish Brandon Tate all the best of luck in getting on the main roster and getting some playing time for the Pats.
