A pretty good day for the ex UNC batters as most that got to the plate had at least one hit, with several of them having extra base hits. As far as the arms that once pitched in Chapel Hill not much to report, as just one of the ex Diamond Heels got to the mound, and he didn’t even see a full inning. It’s all right here on this edition of “Heels in the League” (MLB) for the games from July 4, 2009. Still talking about pitchers, the one that is in Triple A and on the DL list should be coming back soon, and we shall see if he can rebound from the front end of the season.

Once again the head to head match up between two ex Diamond Heels in the Majors doesn’t come to fruition as the pitcher in this one does not get to see any action. For that matter only one of the three ex Heels in the Big Leagues got to play today. In the minors not much to report besides a double header in Double A which has the ex UNC player going 0 for 6. All of this and much more is in this edition of “Heels in the League” (MLB). (On a side note I was getting closer and closer to catching up and then real life once again stepped in with other problems. An ok day for the ex Diamond Heels both in the Major Leagues as well as in the minors. Nothing spectacular to report, but also nothing bad, I guess the best thing to do is for you to check out this edition of “Heels in the League” (MLB) and be the judge. On a side note: tonight is the All Star game (on Fox), which I will be watching on and off. Very small schedule in the Majors, as just one (out of the four players in the MLB) was in action today. Thing being is that he probably would have liked to be off as well, as his team lost on the night and he did not fare well at the plate. In the minors nothing special, with the exceptions being one ex Diamond Heel going yard while another getting a double and triple.
