Numbers of wins compared to numbers of NBA’ers

Top 25

Top 25

Since numbers and stats are really a passion of mine I went looking for the Top 25 winningest teams of all time and then cross checked them with how many players they had sent to the next level. I did this because I wanted to see if winning in college can then translate in having players going to the NBA. Now, I know that doing this over so many years/decades things have changed on how players go first to college and then to the National Basketball Association. Let’s be realistic, had Michael Jordan been eligible for college in 2004 he might have never seen Chapel Hill, or if he had been forced to go for one year, that is all he would have played. Nevertheless, I thought I was interesting to see if the numbers of wins compared to the numbers of players going to the pro’s matched up some what, and overall I would say they did, especially when it comes to the upper echelon of this list. Check it out yourself and let me know what you think of it…

Have to say that it is nice to see North Carolina second in both categories, showing that through the years the program has done very well. With Ed Davis this year and I believe several more next year UNC has a chance to be the first one on the list to hit 100.
