Hakeem Nicks, who had one of his best performances as a Tar Heel a year ago in the Meineke Car Care Bowl tweaked his hamstring last week against the Washington Redskins. He didn’t practice this week, but is listed as probably against the Carolina Panthers for today’s game. The wide out has had a decent rookie season, catching 40 passes from Eli Manning amounting to 751 yards and six touchdowns. You have to wonder what the Tar Heels could have been if the receiver had stayed in Chapel Hill, however he was ready to go and did the right thing in jumping to the National Football League.
