Tyler Hansbrough

For Tyler Hansbrough it seems that anyone that can is trying to do something to show how much he appreciated for his hard work on and off the field. One comes from Poplar Bluff, the other is from Chapel Hill. The first one is something I have to say I never heard anything like this before, the other one is part of The Carolina Basketball Museum. One is a corn maze and the other is Hansbrough’s place amongst the Tar Heels.

Yes you read right, a corn maze. It’s going to be part of the Bluff Fall Water Park’s fall attraction, and it is going to look like Tyler dunking a basketball. The maze will be open from mid September on, and I bet you it’s going to be one of the biggest things around, not so much because it’s a maze, but more because of the popularity that Hansbrough has in that community. The other reward is that the power forward’s display case in The Carolina Basketball Museum is now finished (below the picture of it thanks to Adam Lucas of Tar Heel Monthly – check himĀ out on Twitter or Web Page).

Both are great things for a great player and person that donned the Carolina Blue for four years in the best way possible. We talk a lot of times about setting the standard high, well Hansbrough did exactly that while being in high school and college, and while he is gone, his jersey (which will be retired) and his memories will always have a place in the Dean Dome.
