In the end, once all the gifts have been open, your belt loosen from eating way too much, your spirits high as the day we call Christmas comes to a close due to having had a lot more fun than expected you realize that the best part of this day is remembering back. As a husband I remembered back to when I first met my wife, as part of a family I remember when I met this brother in law, that sister in law, and as I Tar Heel I can remember so many great moments that there wouldn’t be enough space on this blog to talk about them all. But thanks to a friend of mine and a great blogger, @ASternWarning, which is also the name of his web site, I had the chance to remember back to Michael Jordan’s first game ever as a Tar Heel…
I hope that this brings back memories (and goosebumps) to all of you as well. It’s just one of many moments that as an old Tar Heel I love to be able to share with all. Who knew that this would be the beginning to what was a Hall of Fame career for MJ? Just another piece of that huge and spectacular puzzle that is North Carolina basketball. Be proud Tar Heel nation because it just does not get much better that what has been built in Chapel Hill! And the memories that from Jordan to Hansbrough have left us are so many we can not can’t count them all.

Thank you so much for the kind words and the mention.
Once again, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and the lovely wife.
The scary thing about MJ wearing short shorts was the fact that he still managed to hitch the waistband right up high, even in those little things!
