It’s Ty & Ty on 1st team All ACC

The Tyler Hansbrough era isn’t over, and it just improved yesterday with something that has never been done, as the senior forward was a unanimous selection and became the first player in conference history to be a unanimous selection all four years. The voting is done by 76 members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association, who put with the two Heels Toney Douglas (FSU), Gerald Henderson (Duke) and Jack McClinton (Miami). Other Tar Heels to be selected were Danny Green, third team All ACC and first team All Defensive team, Wayne Ellington, honorable mention, and Ed Davis, All Freshman team. Ty Lawson was also named as an honorable mention to the All Defensive squad.

Below you can check out all the ACC teams. Before that however, I have to say that I am very glad to see that so many players being honored from North Carolina. And while I know (having read many boards) that some of the Carolina fans wanted to see Ellington make passed just honorable mention, but the fact, as I said on web boards and will say here, who do you take out? There is so many good players in a conference that has many good teams that somehow, someway a player (or more) is going to be left out of the mix. To all the fan base that is upset let me say this, UNC has four players in the top 18, not is almost 25%, and that is good enough for me.
