In this part of “Heels in the League” (NBA) there are going to be three games, while there were seven games in all that had a touch of carolina blue on the night. (A reminder: there are no games with ex Heels on 11/15/09, so the next post will be about the games from 11/16/09). For now enjoy the second part of the games from 11/14/09…
In the first game of the second half of this recap it’s the Utah Jazz going to the Q (Quicken Loans Arena) to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in front of 20,562 fans. For the home squad it’s the duo of ex national champions, Jawad Williams and Danny Green, who both dress for the game but neither gets to see any action on the floor (DNP – Coach’s Decision). As far as the game is concerned it’s Cleveland winning this one by a small margin, defeating Utah 107 to 103. With the victory the Cavs are now 7 and 3 on the season. The next game on tap is the one that pins the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Memphis Grizzlies. A game played in front of very low attendance of 10,019 at the FedExForum. For the visiting squad it’s ex Heel Wayne Ellington, who comes off the bench for nine minutes, goes 0 for 1 from the field and grabs a board in his playing time. As far as the game is concerned Memphis won the game by ten points, beating Minnesota by the final tally of 97 to 87. With the loss the TWolves are now 1 and 10 on the year.
The last game of the night is the one that has the Golden State Warriors going to the Bradley Center to take on the Milwaukee Bucks in front of a crowd of 14,978. For the Warriors we should be seeing ex Tar Heel Brandan Wright, but he is still out and didn’t dress for the game once again. The game was won by Milwaukee, who took down Golden State by the final of 129 to 125. With the L the Warriors are now 3 and 6 on the young season.
