In what is the smallest slate so far for the National Basketball Association the games from November 5, 2009 are only two. However one of them had a touch of carolina blue and as we all know, whether it be all or just one, if there is a ex Tar Heel in action there will be a recap that I call “Heels in the League” (NBA). But do not worry, if you are looking for ex Heels news the schedule for 11/06/09 has 13 games and there will be plenty of ex UNC players in action. But for now here is the only game involving ex Heels for November 5, 2009…
In the first (and only) game of the night it’s the Chicago Bulls heading to Quicken Loans Arena, or as Carolyn from the And One blog will say the “Q”, to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in front of 20,562 fans. For the home squad it’s the tandem of Danny Green and Jawad Williams that give the Cavs a touch carolina blue, but neither play in this one, as Green sits on the bench while Williams does not even dress (which gives me the feeling I had last season where the ex UNC forward kept getting little or no time). As far as the game went it was Chicago winning by the slighest of margins, as the left Ohio with a one point win over Cleveland, 86 to 85. With the loss the Cavs are now 3 and 3 on the season. Jeff Sack of Slam Dunk Central writes A Rose Blooms in Cleveland; Bulls Squeak By Cavaliers 86-85, which I have to say is a pretty good title, as well as being spot on.
