In what is something that is way, way late due to some personal things (and no I am not going to get into them) here is this edition of “Heels in the League” (NBA) for the games from Monday, March 29, 2010. In all the schedule was pretty small, having just five games on tab, of those two of them had a touch of Carolina Blue, one of those being a head to head match up. As usual, if you are looking for a complete run down for the night’s games you can check out Real GM‘s recap or ESPN‘s Scoreboard Page. But for now enjoy this recap for the games from 03/29/10…
The first game of the night is the one that has the Charlotte Bobcats (EC 4th SE) playing host to the Toronto Raptors (EC 2nd Atlantic) in a game that was played at the Time Warner Cable Arena in front of a crowd that numbered 14,534. This is the third game (of three) between these teams, with the series being all tied up so far. For the home town team it’s point guard Raymond Felton (72 Games: 33.0 MinsPG ~ 12.2 PPG ~ 5.5 APG ~ 1.6 SPG), who starts for the Bobcats and gets 31 minutes in all. The ex national champ from 2005 scores 18 points (7 for 12 ~ 4 for 5 ~ 0 for 0) to go with seven assists, five rebounds and three turnovers while having a -4 pts differential. In what was a close game it was Toronto winning the game (and the series) by a duece, defeating Charlotte by the final score of 103 to 101. With the loss the Bobcats slide to 38-35 on the year (.520 winning percentage) and 27-9 at home (.750 winning percentage).
