Another small recap for the games from Saturday, March 27, 2010 as there were five games in all but just one with a touch of Carolina Blue (which was a head to head match up). If you are interested in the overall scheme of things you can check out the World Leader in Sports’ Scoreboard Page. A reminder for those that enjoy checking out the ex Heels at the next level, today will be the first of many “Heels in the League” (MLS) as the season kicked off this week. But now let’s get back to the National Basketball Association and the recap, which I call “Heels in the League” (NBA), from the game from 03/27/10…

In the first and only game of the night has the Dallas Mavericks (WC 1st SW) going to the ORACLE Arena to take on the Golden State Warriors (WC 5th Pacific) in front of a crowd that numbered 19,104. This was the fourth (of four) games between these franchises, with Dallas having a 2 to 1 lead in the series. For the visiting team from the lone star state it’s ex UNC big man Brendan Haywood (68 Games: 31.4 MinsPG ~ 9.3 PPG ~ 9.7 RPG ~ 2.1 BPG) who started but just played nine minutes. The center scored one point (0 for 2 ~ 0 for 0 ~ 1 for 2) to go with four rebounds, a block and a pair of turnovers while having a -5 pts differential. On the other bench we would see forward Brandan Wright, but as we all know this season is not going to be a good one for the young man, who has not played one game due to a shoulder injury. In the end it was Dallas winning this one by 21 points, defeating Golden State Warriors by the final of 111 to 90. With the win the Mavs go to 48-25 on the season (.658 winning percentage), 23-14 on the road (.621 winning percentage) and are tied for the second spot in the West, 6.0 behind the conference leader and just 0.5 games ahead of the next squad . With the loss the Warriors drop to 20-52 on the year (.278 winning percentage), 16-22 at home (.421 winning percentage) and are in second to last place in the Wast, out of the post season.
