Once again being late with this daily post of mine (due to the fact my wife is getting ready to go back to the hospital once again to de more chemo in her battle against luekemia) here is the next edition of “Heels in the League” (NBA) for the games from yesterday, Thursday, February 25, 2010. In yesterday’s line up, composed of three games, all three of them not only had a touch of Carolina Blue, but were head to head match ups. As usual, if you want to check out another run down feel free to see the one that is done over at Real GM.
However, before I go on with my recap I need to give a great cyber shout out to Jeff Sack and his writers at Slam Dunk Central for being ESPN’s SportsNation site of the day. Those guys work really hard at doing their recaps and providing some of the best reporting when it comes to the National Basketball Association and this recognition is very, very merited! Once again, congratulations to all the guys at Slam Dunk Central. Now, on to the recap…
We begin with a head to head to game that is also a divisional match up between the Milwaukee Bucks (EC 3rd Central) and the Indiana Pacers (EC 5th Central), the third meeting (of 4) between these squads, with the first two going to Milwaukee. The game was played at the Conseco Fieldhouse in front of an attendance that numbered 14,116. For the visiting it is veteran Jerry Stackhouse (18 Games: 30.1 MinsPG ~7.2 PPG ~ 1.8 APG ~ 2.7 RPG), who played for 24 in this one coming off the bench. In that time the shooting guard scored 11 points (4 for 10 ~ 2 for 4 ~ 1-2) to go with three rebounds and had a 0 pts differential. On the other side, for the home squad, we should be seeing Tyler Hansbrough, but the rookie power forward is still battling an inner ear infection. In the end this was a very close game that went to Milwaukee, defeating Indiana by a duece, with the final score being 112 to 110. With the W the Bucks get to 29-28 on the year (.509 winning percentage), 11-19 on the road (.366 winning percentage) and are in seventh place in the East, 15 games behind the conference leader and 0.5 ahead of the last playoff squad.
