As I keep trying to catch up (and please believe me I am really trying here), here is the next edition of “Heels in the League” (WNBA), which looks at the game for June 9, 2009 that includes a touch of carolina blue. Actually, for this date it’s the only game on the schedule, but as well know, be it one game or one ex Carolina player, if there is something about the Heels in the pro’s I am going to give you a small recap on it. So, sit back and relax as I give you this small post about the game of 06/09/09…
In the only game of the night, played in front of 7,253 fans at Conseco Fieldhouse, it’s the visiting Seattle Storm taking on the Indiana Fever. For the visiting them from Washington state, it’s Camille Little, a sixth year veteran in the league. The forward for the Storm got close to 24 minutes and scored 6 points in that time frame (2 for 6 – 0 for 1 – 2 for 3). Little also got six rebounds, one assist, a steal and a block shot, while committing one turnover. As far as the game went it was Indiana taking the game, defeating Seattle by the final of 73-66.
