Even if later than I hoped with this “Heels in the League” (MLB) post I will caught up again (and that is after another rough RL day). All of the games in the Majors and just a few didn’t go off in the minors, and while not all of the ex Diamond Heels took to the field (several of the ex UNC players are on DL right now), the ones that did played pretty well across the board. Starting Monday (June 8, 2009) I will begin to do some in depth look at all of these twenty one ex Diamond Heels that are now playing baseball professionally. With Carolina being in the Super Regional, meaning one step away from going to the fourth College World Series in a row, a lot of these players were part of the teams that went to the CWS under head coach Mike Fox.
