As the post season keeps marching on in the National Basketball Association, last night was the third game of the Cleveland vs Orlando series, with the eventual winner to face off again the West for the NBA Title. That means we had a touch of carolina blue in the game, which in turns means that it’s time to once again get the “Heels in the League” (NBA Playoffs) post done so that we can check out any and all ex Carolina players. So, sit back and relax, as we go over the game from 05/24/09 and give you a video and as many links as possible to the game…

It was the first time that this series was going to the sunshine state as both teams have a game won. Most people thought that the Cleveland Cavaliers (9-2 in the playoffs) would have the advantage, even with the series being away from the friendly confines of Quicken Loans Arena. After LBJ hit a last second shot to win game two it could have meant that the Orlando Magic (10-6 in the playoffs) could find themselves deflated. Unfortunately for Jawad Williams, who once again didn’t see any action, and his Cavs team it was not that way, as the Magic got the lead by half time and kept it going in the third and fourth quarter. Orlando beat Cleveland by 10, taking this one by the final of 99 to 89. As usual, let’s look at some places to get a full recap of the game, like at Slam Dunk Central, where Jeff Sacks says that “Magic Make Cavaliers Swagger Disappear“. I agree, but it seems that with the exception of James most of the Cavaliers have disappeared. Over at Talk Hoops Net have their usual recap of game three of this series. At SB Nation, the Cavs’ Blog says “Cavaliers looking for answers, lose to Magic“. And again I say, don’t look for many answers, look to where the support for LBJ has gone. AOL Fanhouse’s title about the game is pretty hard, but also pretty realistic, as David Whitley says “LeBron’s Reality: Magic Simply Better“. Not to push my point, but if James doesn’t get help the Cavs are not going to make it to the NBA Finals. Of course the Queen of the Q (aka Carolyn from the And One blog) will have her opinions on this game soon, so make sure to check out her site.
