In last night’s four games in the National Basketball Association there was plenty to be excited about. A game going into overtime, one where a team was able to hold off getting eliminated and then the one with a touch of carolina blue, where the team was able to take care of their opponent and now wait for the second round. So, since there was action in the Association having to deal with an ex North Carolina player, it is time for me to do my daily recap, called the “Heels in the League” (NBA Playoffs). Also, for tonight’s games and what Jimmy the “Net Sports Geek” picked you can check them out here, and of course you can make fun of him by leaving a comment at the bottom of the post.
In the only game of the night it’s game five between the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs, played in front of 18,797 at the AT&T Center. As we all have known for a long time, ex Tar Heel Jerry Stackhouse is nowhere to be seen, and will likely never wear the uniform of Mark Cuban’s club. However, as far as his current team is doing, Dallas beat San Antonio by double figures, with the final being 106 to 93, eliminating the Spurs from the playoffs. A side note, this is the first time that Tim Duncan doesn’t go past the first round of the post season. Jeff Sack tells us that it was Nowitzki leading the Mavericks to the Second Round. While in another web site it tells us how San Antonio was dismantled.
