HC Williams’ book to come out in November

Head Coach Roy Williams

Head Coach Roy Williams

For those of you that like to read, or maybe have a good friend that does, I have the perfect gift for you (or them). Coming in November, so could be a good Christmas gift, the autobiography of head coach Roy Williams, which from what I read on the internet is going to be entitled: “Hard Work: My Life On and Off the Court”. I have to say that the title sure makes you think, since we know how hard coach Williams has worked since at Chapel Hill, from the days he worked for Dean Smith, to his coaching years at Kansas and now back at UNC, but I for one, have never thought about the non basketball part of it. Thinking about it for a minute or two you have to believe that it’s a tough life for both Roy Williams, but also for his wife and the kids.

How many times do you have to miss something because of a job that we watch 30+ times during the season on television, but is a 24/7 life? How can you concentrate on both the real family as well as the Carolina one without letting neither suffer? Can’t be easy, and so to read about it, will be very interesting and I can not wait to get my hands on the book as soon as possible. And as usual coach Williams shows how much he cares about his school, as it is said that part of the proceedings of the book are going to go to the Carolina Covenant, which helps low income students obtain scholarships to UNC. Another great reason for buying this book.
