Haywood agrees to deal with Mavs

While the basketball world holds its breath to find out which team will have LeBron James’ services for the next few years other NBA’ers are getting their own contracts. From a small post on Yahoo it seems that ex Tar Heel Brendan Haywood and the Dallas Mavericks have agreed on a six year, $55 million contract. The center. who averaged 8.1 PPG ~ 7.4 RPG ~ 2.0 BPG in the 28 games with the lone star state team last year, had gone to Mark Cuban’s club half way through last season in a deal with the Washington Wizards. Haywood, who is 30 years old, was also being courted by the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat, was said to be the best free agent at his position this off season.

As I do with all the Heels let me wish all the best to Brendan Haywood on his new contract and his future years in the National Basketball Association.
