Happy 65th birthday to Robert Franklin Lewis, or as he is more widely known, Bob Lewis. From what I read Lewis was a big piece of the puzzle for the 1967 squad that won both the Atlantic Coast Conference and then made it all the way to the Final Four. Both in that year and the prior one the guard was an All-ACC selection. Lewis is the tenth all time scorer at UNC, with 1,836 points in all. His number is one of those that hanges high above the Smith Center. After his college career Lewis played for the San Francisco Warriors, who drafted him in the fourth round (39th pick), for three seasons and then one more with the Cleveland Cavaliers. During his NBA career Lewis averaged: 5.8 pts, 2.1 boardss, and 2.2 assists per game. Once again, happy birthday to Bow Lewis!
