Hansbrough & Terry in Orlando Pro Summer League

NBA Summer League

NBA Summer League

Just as the NBA Championship is getting close to being a topic few are discussing anymore it’s once again time to talk about, you guessed it,  the National Basketball Association. Today, in the sunshine state, starts the Orlando Pro Summer League, which will feature six teams (which you can check out by going to Ridiculous Upside and see his preview of all of them), and has two ex Tar Heels playing in it. The two ex from Chapel Hill are: Tyler Hansbrough (Indiana) and Reyshawn Terry (Utah). The league starts this afternoon and The Fifth Corner will update you on these two young men as much as possible.

On a side note, I have to say that the word “league” sounds funny when there is so few teams. Even funnier when you consider that the “league” runs from today, July 6th until this Friday, July 10th. Below is the list of all the games that will be played:

In a small post by Inside Hoops it say that due to space the “league” (or should we say round robin tournament) is not open to the public. The games will only be able to be viewed by the media and professional team/league personnel. I have to say that this kind of sucks for the regular fan, since it would be great for anyone in the area to have a possibility to see the returning stars as well as the future ones in action. If it was me running this so called league I would find a way to have at least one day open to the public, since in the end it’s them that make the NBA go. Hopefully somewhere there will be highlights and articles about the “league” so that people that can not see the games live can find out how things went. Anyways, as I do with all the Heels, good luck to both Hansbrough and Terry in this five game league, and while we know that the prior is going to be on a NBA roster, let’s hope the same is for the latter as well.

I THINK THAT THEY ARE GREAT NBA PLAYERS BUT TYLER WILL BE A BETTER NBA PLAYER THAT REYSHAWN WAS AND IS. TYLER HAS TAKEN THE NBA GAME AND HE WILL LEARN HOW TO DO THINGS THE NBA WAY AND HE WILL BE A STAR BELIEVE IT OR NOT.
