Good Morning Tar Heels 06/28/09
Another day, another time to see so many excellent posts through the blogesphere, which means another edition of “Good Morning Tar Heels”, the daily (or I hope close to it) post about a touch of carolina blue or friends of The Fifth Corner. Once again I have found plenty of great pieces, from the NBA to the NFL and anything in between, and while they might not be about UNC, they are bloggers that have supported this site and the least I could do is to do the same for them. So, sit back and relax while you check out these pieces I present to you on this edition of “Good Morning Tar Heels”…
UNC Shout Outs:
To the guys from Carolina Blue, who do a great job keeping the chat going on the web boards! Thanks for always having the best stories/discussions out there!
To Joe K, a great and passionate Tar Heel fan. Listen to him do his job as a a DJ or follow him on Twitter!
The Links:
Over at Detroit4Lyfe they have concern for their Tigers. Losing two in a row to the Astros would concern me as well.
Staying with baseball, at Paneech they have concerns as well, believing that the Indians have thrown in the towel, since the Cleveland franchis traded away Mark DeRosa.
Now, to the NFL, where LombardiAve did a pretty cool match up between Michael Jackson’s songs and the man that will not go away, Brett Favre. Entitling his piece “Favre Has Much In Common With MJ“. I thought that it was well done! The “One more chance” was well done (IMO).
And as I said before, Brett Favre the man that won’t go away, gives us another reason to think he is coming back. Style Points tells us that Favre has bought a house in Minnesota. And the drama continues!
Touching on college basketball, and more precisely about an ex archrival, the ZagsBlog gives us the news that ex Duke player Elliot Williams is now going to be playing with Memphis. The key here is: will this help more Memphis or does it hurt more Duke? You know what I think, don’t you?
Moving to the NBA, over at Slam Dunk Central Jeff Sack has a piece entitled “Will Rubio play in the NBA this season“, with a video of the spaniard. My opinion is that he won’t or else why take Jonny Flynn from SU as well?
Still with the NBA Draft, over at Dock Squad there is a break down of what they think of the Bulls draft this season. As usual, great stuff by that site.
And still with the draft, but this time touching close to home, Waiting For Next Year has a piece about Danny Green, and what can be expected of him. Nice piece, but no link to my piece? Tsk Tsk!
