Good Morning Tar Heels 05/09/09
It is the weekend, but be it weekday or not, if it’s the morning, it’s time for The Fifth Corner to do it’s daily “Good Morning Tar Heels”. Today many shout outs and links are on our animated post (and of course the links below the video). From a couple of die hard Tar Heel fans to an ex Tar Heel football player to UNC’s football head coach, there is plenty of carolina blue in the post. But we also touch on the NFL and two of it’s ex QBs that might or might not come back. Hope you all enjoy this edition of “Good Morning Tar Heels” and make sure to come back tomorrow, when we do it all over again…
Ex National Player of the Year for Dean Smith and now Washington Wizards’ forward Antawn Jamison had surgery on his right ankle. All the best on a speedy recovery.
You follow college football and are a Y2K type of person? Then see if your favorite head coach has a twitter account. And if you do not have an account and do not know what it is, check this site out.
ESPN has the bowl games that will have an ACC team in them. I can hardly wait for North Carolina to be in one of those games. Oh, by the way, sorry Butch Davis doesn’t tweeter!
In the NFL it seems that Brett Favre is still not ready to retire, surprise surprise, and at the NFL Gridiron Gab they have a story about the “what if” had Favre signed with the Vikings. On the other hand another great piece over at paneech.com about another quarterback who is about to re enter the mix, Michael Vick, and what is next for the ex Atlanta Falcons’ gunslinger.
And a final shout out to Jake over at TarEye BuckHeel who had his exams. Here is to hoping he aced them, which I am sure he did!
