Good Evening & Good Linking 05/27/09
“Good Evening & Good Linking” is once again back in action. As you know I do this post by asking a question on twitter (you can follow me on that by going here) and whomever answer it gets a link from me, from The Fifth Corner. It’s so simple even a Dookie err caveman can do it. (Hmmm I think that line might be taken). So, what is tonight’s question? Pretty simple actually: “Who is going to win the game between Denver and Los Angeles”. In all twentythree bloggers/twitters gave me their answer and that means there is going to be a long, long list of great links for you to click on and follow…
For the Denver Nuggets:
Ethan of NESW has the Nuggets by 8. He also has plenty of great videos like “What 5 Players Could Outeat Charles Barkley?” A must see, it’s very well done!
Spaz Sports says: 98 to 94. Check out their latest post entitled: “Buffalo Bills 2009 NFL Draft Review”. {Video} If you love football, you know things like this are a must watch.
Paneech, of Paneech.com says: 113-109 [in OT]. Check out the latest on his site: “Mahoning Valley Thunder Hire Chris MacKeown To Head Coach”.
Kingeroo says: 99 to 96. Here is the url to his “site”. Go ahead, check it out, it’s just a click away.
Scott of WFNY says: 101 to 96. Scott also says that “Clarett wants to give football another shot”. And I say let’s hope not and let’s hope the young man can stay out of trouble for a while.
The blogging community Fan IQ says: 108-102. Make sure to check out the many blogs they will have about the game by visiting their site.
And talking about FanIQ, here is one of their writers, Jubanator, saying: 105-101. Make sure to head on over to FanIQ to check out his stuff, or follow him on Twitter.
Troy Nunes says: 89 to 88 (a squeeker). I say check out the great site over at TNIAAM, where this week is all about Lacrosse and their back to back national championships. Have to say “what a game” as SU came back from three down with 3:30 minutes to go and win it in OT.
Roy Pickering, The author of Patches of Grey and Feeding the Squirrels, says: 108-107. Check out his twitter page here and where you can buy his book at Amazon
TheGNC also goes with a close pick: 107-106. And if the LA cheerleaders aren’t good enough for you, on his site you can always watch a dance off between USF and UConn. They might not be the next candidates for Dancing with the Stars, but c’mon now, who is?
Finally Anklesnap, from The Hoop Doctors, says: 125-110. Over at their site there is a story about Barkley and his buddy from the phone commercials, Dwayne Wade, playing a “game of h-o-r-s-e”. Hmmm Chuck could play a game of jacka… never mind!
For the Los Angeles Lakers:
Joe K, the die hard UNC fan, goes: with LA by 10. Follow Joe on his Twitter page, and get updates as he will have his web page up and running within a month or so.
Truth About It give us: 101-92. At his site he has a very good post about “Evaluating Oleksiy Pecherov in 2008-09 “. Worth the read in my opinion!
Both Team Played says: 105-102. On the site there is an excellent piece called: “Embracing the Actual Magic”. Check it out, defenitely worth the time.
A Stern Warning goes: 105-90. Mookie talks about something that has been an issue for a long time in pro basketball: “Age limits and the NBA “
Chuck Orange predicts: 104-101. Make sure to follow one of the most passionate fans of the Orange on his Twitter page.
Detroit4Lyfe gives us: 104-100. And if you want some ice while watching the NBA go to their web site where they are doing a live blogcast of the Blackhawks @ Red Wings (Game 5)
TheNoLookPass dishes out this prediction: 102-94. And if you want war, then war it is, check out this little nugget he has on his site: “It’s War! L.A. Vs Denver… and Rey Vs Shae”
Love Soft Rims loves LA: 104 to 94. Check out the video they have on the site, it’s: “Puppet LeBron feat. Puppet Kobe (remix)”. It’s like the muppets NBA style with a twist of David Stern and Donald Trump to boot.
NBA Noise loves them one less: 103-94. Very interesting piece about the “Playoffs bring a change in perspective”, some for the better and some not so much. See who he has in the positive and who in the negative.
MacG_OG likes them as well: 119-110. Ok, this is interesting, he picked the LA Lakers to win, but on his blog he says that he has “man crush on the Nuggets’ Birdman”, a post with three videos about the Nuggets’ player.
Sharapovasthigh is also a LA believer: 112-111 [in OT]. And in his blog he talks about, well, hmmmm, how about Sharapova! “Sharapova Gets A Nice Win To Open The French “. If there is just one picture in this post it’s worth the click, and reading is also worth is as Matt does one heck of a job on his site.
Mizzo is also going with them: 113-108. His Starting Five site, a must stop for me, has a good story with a long title (which I am going to shorten): “Notes from TNT’s Coverage of the NBA Playoffs – Tuesday, May 26, 2009″

thanks for the links brah, solid site. F Dook
Great idea — thanks man.
Mac G: Not a problem, glad you joined the “prediction roll call”
Mookie: Thanks! Too bad the season is almost over (lol)
