Ex Heel Sexton wins debut in front of a Carolina crowd

Reunion of sorts (Sexton)A huge hat tip to The Tar Heel Fan, who wrote about ex UNC quarterback Cameron Sexton, who last year decided to graduate from North Carolina and finish out his last year of elegibility with Catawba (a Div II school). THF entitled the piece Sexton’s Cheering Section, and when you read the article by ACC Now the cheering section was pretty good. People like coach Davis’ son, players from the basketball team and many, many ex team mates from a year ago. And they were all there for him, because Sexton might have left, but he is a Tar Heel, and once again I am proud to write a post such as this one as it shows what I always talk about: “The Carolina Way/Family”.

Let me applaud Cam Sexton on his good outing (and win), all the Carolina players for having gone to the game and supported an ex team mate and friend, and The Tar Heel Fan for the great piece on this. Here is the part I truly loved about the article from ACC Now:

After his interview session, the first ones to hug him were basketball players Marcus Ginyard (wearing a T-shirt that read “Sex- ton Sells”), Marc Cambell (wearing a No. 11 Carolina Sexton jersey), and Deon Thompson – followed by a plethora of football players, including Yates, Kendric Burney, Quan Sturdivant, Bobby Rome and Kyle Jolly.

The Carolina Family keeps growing, join the bandwagon and enjoy the ride, cause it’s well worth it!

Awesome, I am so glad for Cam. He knew he wouldnt see the field at UNC this season unless Yates got hurt.

    The man still loves Carolina.
