Dribbling Through...

Here are some links to pieces involving Tar Heels in the National Basketball Association, or as I am going to call this post, “Dribbling Through…”. I am going to try to make this a daily post (and hopefully stick to it), that talks about anything/everything doing with players/coaches that are at the next level in basketball. If you find pieces about Carolina players in the Pro’s and want to share them leave me a link in the comment area and I will make sure to add it to the next piece I do. Remember to check out the last edition of “Heels in the League” (NBA) for the games from 02/21/10 by going here. And make sure to come back and check out “Before the Games” (NBA) tomorrow, but for now let’s see what we found about our beloved Heels…

George Karl sees the Celtics as contenders (from the Boston Herald):

“I still think they’re going to be a very difficult out. They’re veterans. They know how. They feel they’re confident enough to win. But I think they’re probably going to have some games where they’re probably not going to look good.”

Antawn Jamison, who scored 19 points against the Magic on Sunday, to the starting line up? (from the Cleveland Plain Dealer):

“At the end of the day, he’s probably going to be a starter for us, he’s a starter in this league,” Head coach Mike Brown said. “I’ve just got to figure things out and we’re in the process of doing that right now.”

Something that seems just fine with the superstar of the team:

“He’s always been a starter and it showed when started in the second half and he gained confidence from that,” LeBron James said. “‘Tawn eventually will be our starter. No disrespect to J.J., I think J.J.’s a great player. But J.J.’s athleticism and worth ethic would be great off the bench. You’d have two energy guys come off the bench and that would help us a lot.”
