As the NBA begins its new season with Media days and the pre season practices in Europe they are playing basketball right now, and one of the ex Heels is part of that. Mike Copeland, playing in the British Basketball League (BBL) for the Glasgow Rocks played in the team’s first game and had a pretty good game, scoring eight points, grabbing six rebounds and getting a steal in close to 24 minutes of playing time off the bench. Unfortunately for the ex Tar Heel and national champion Glasgow dropped the game to Newcastle by the final of 90 to 86. A very good performance by Copeland and team mates when you think that Newcastle is the reigning champs of the BBL.
