Checking in on the Mocks: All four Heels

nba-draft-lotteryAnd once again it is time to check out what the NBA draft mocks say about the four players from Chapel Hill. As you have seen from the post I did a couple of days ago it seems that Tywon Lawson isn’t getting much love from scouts and GMs. Is this going to mean that he is also going to lose spots in the mock drafts? We are about to find out. And while Lawson is sliding, Wayne Ellington seemed to be making a push to be the second Tar Heel to be taken in this year’s NBA Draft the last time we checked the mocks. And while Hansbrough seems to still be a lock as a first rounder, Danny Green looks like he will be taken in the second round. But after checking all those mocks I can say this: forget everything you saw in the last mocks I checked, since it seems that some things are staying the same, but others will make you truly wonder what will happen when the real draft comes around. So, without further interruptions, let’s check out what these mocks say…

Do the Bobcats still want to play up the “come see your former UNC players” marketing campaign? They could get Tyler and maybe Danny.

  2. AEM says:

I am not sure about that, but I think the Bobcats best make the right moves if they don’t want to sit at home when the playoffs come!

I believe that if the Hawks pass up Hansborough it will be stupid. They can resign Bibby and Fip to take care of the point. Hansborough won itleast one championship and he is good at defense. He could let J smooth play quickforward.

hansbrough could be a great fit with the jazz. He’s the kind of hard nosed player jerry sloan salivates over. karl malone wasn’t a high flier either, but that didn’t stop him from becoming second on the all time scoring list. i think ellington is over rated. he’s a streaky shooter without much else on his resume. danny green is the better all around player. ty lawson could help alot of teams, but probably will end up as a backup
