After a couple of days of not being able to do “Before the Games” (NBA) here is the next edition of it, checking out the games for today, March 19, 2010. In all there are seven games with a touch of Carolina Blue, two being a head to head match ups. So let’s check out the previews of the game as well as my predictions that will surely be wrong (2-7 so far). The first game of the night (7:00 p.m. EST start – televised on FSD) has Indy hosting Detroit, with the Pacers being a 1.5 points favorite. I am going to go with the visitors here and taking the points. The next game, with start time at 7:30 p.m. EST (televised on SportSouth), is a head to head match up with two teams from the east heading to the post season. We have Atlanta hosting Charlotte, with the Hawks being a 5.5 points favorite, and I will go with them giving up the points. We move on to the third game, which is Cleveland and Chicago, starting at 8:00 p.m. EST and being televised on CNSC. The oddsmakers give the Cavs a 10.5 edge and I think they will win by more than that tonight. Moving on we now find the game that has Boston going to Houston, tip off set for 8:30 and visible on NBA TV. In this one it’s Celtics favored by 2.5 points, but I am going to go with the home team here. Also at 8:30 p.m. it’s the game between Golden State and San Antonio, with the Spurs being a 11.5 points favorite and me thinking the margin will be even larger.
In late night we start off with the second head to head game of the night as Milwaukee head to Sacramento for a 10:30 p.m. tip off and being televised on CSNS. The insiders put the Bucks as a 3 point favorite and I think they will be able to win by more. And we finish up with the game between Minnesota and Los Angeles Lakers, also a tip off of 10:30 p.m. (being televised on Fox West). In this one the Laker are a 15 points favorite and again, here too I see them winning by more than that. So there it is, hopefully I can do better than the 22.2% winning percentage that I have as of right now, but, knowing how good I am at this, I doubt it.
