Another Zeller to UNC? Maybe!

I know that this news is definitely pretty old, and if you figure in the electronics/internet era we are in it’s absolutely old, but nonetheless as I catch up once again due to family and real life issues I wanted to touch on: Cody Zeller, the brother of Tyler Zeller, has been offered a scholarship by the UNC coaching staff. Cody, who has as a five star while only as a four, is a 6’10″/205 lbs power power forward. There is no doubt that head coach Roy Williams has a lot of competition in trying to get the second Zeller to Chapel Hill as plenty of other top programs (Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas, Wake Forest and OSU to name some) are after him as well. Could we say, or believe, that UNC has the inside track having Tyler on campus? I guess we could, but in this cut throat world of recruiting you never truly know what is going to happen until it does. However I am still happy that we are in the race for this very talented player and I am keeping out hope that he does don the Carolina Blue just like his older brother does.

And please, for anyone that thinks this scholarship offer is a bad one due to how injury prone Zeller has been while in Chapel Hill, or ever worst, because the now junior might not have lived up to expectations I have one thing to say: stop it! Zeller would work great next to someone like James McAdoo in his first year and then will do even better in the seasons to follow. While on subject, I also expect a great season from Tyler, who is going to get a chance to start (as he did when Hansbrough was hurt) and play big minutes.
